Marcus J. Poulliard

Marcus J. Poulliard is a former partner of the Firm, Selling, Cosse', Frischhertz and Poulliard and is now a partner of the firm, Frischhertz, Poulliard, Frischhertz, Impastato. Marcus Poulliard graduated from the Loyola University School of Law in 1980 and thereafter, clerked for the Honorable Judge Jules Davidson of the 19th Judicial District Court. Mr. Poulliard is a member of the Bar of the Louisiana Supreme Court, United States District Court, District of Mississippi and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Marcus J. Poulliard is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Association for Justice, American Association for Justice and the American Bar Association.

He has been a speaker for several continuing legal education programs, including Loyola University Continuing legal education program and has been an instructor for several skills courses at the Loyola University School of Law.

Mr. Poulliard has extensive trial experience at the trial court, both in Louisiana State Court and the Federal Courts. He has handled cases primarily in Louisiana and has handled cases in Mississippi and Arkansas.

Mr. Poulliard has secured many favorable awards for clients in court, and has obtained several settlements in excess of 1 million dollars, including settlement in excess of 2.5 million dollars arising out of an automobile/train grade crossing. Mr. Poulliard has also obtained several settlements in excess of the $500K damage cap in Louisiana medical malpractice cases, and recently obtained a 1 million dollar settlement involving medical malpractice in the State of Arkansas. Mr. Poulliard has a particular interest in representing children who have suffered as victims from medical negligence, as well as the elderly who have suffered from nursing home negligence.
