Louisiana doctoriana d thulliard Frischhertz imlawsuit

The loss of a parent is difficult for Louisiana children of all ages. If there are questions concerning the circumstances of the death, Louisiana children may not be able to properly mourn. The death of a local doctor at the hands of his wife has raised these concerns with the children of his first marriage. Now, these adult children have filed a wrongful death lawsuit to investigate the death of their father.

Dr. Breen was shot and killed on March 1, 2015. The shooting occurred after a heated argument with his wife, Kacie Breen. His surviving spouse claims that the shooting was done in self-defense. At this time, Kacie is not facing any charges in conjunction with the death of Dr. Breen. Since Dr. Breen's death, his wife attempted to role his retirement funds into her own retirement account. However, the court has frozen Dr. Breen's portion of retirement funds from his medical practice.

The children from Dr. Breen's first marriage have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Kacie Breen. Just this past week, they have subpoenaed the records of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office. The adult children want all records related to the investigation into their father's death.

Louisiana state law allows certain people to file a wrongful death lawsuit. Surviving children or a spouse can file this type of lawsuit. If there are no children or a spouse, the parents of the deceased are able to file. There are a variety of losses that are associated with an individual's death. A wrongful death lawsuit can help surviving family members to meet these unexpected bills.
