John W. Norwood, IV
Trial Attorney
Johnny practices in various areas of both trial and appellate levels, including catastrophic injury, motor/commercial vehicle litigation, flood and homeowner’s insurance coverage disputes, bad faith litigation, slip/trip and fall litigation, Waiver of Redhibition matters and premises liability. Johnny has litigated and tried numerous cases in various courts throughout Louisiana since graduating from Paul M. Hebert Law Center (LSU Law) in 2004.
Prior to working for Frischhertz & Impastato, Johnny spent the first 14 years of his career defending various insurance companies against injured parties. Having grown tired of the games and gimmicks of insurance companies, he decided to follow his heart by “switching sides” and began representing injured parties. His knowledge of the inner workings of insurance companies serves him well in representing his clients against the insurance companies. This change rejuvenated his career in 2018.
Johnny joined Frischhertz and Impastato in February 2022, actively handling approximately 150 Hurricane Ida cases for clients all over South Louisiana. He has also continued to represent clients injured in automobile wrecks as well as slip/trip and fall incidents.
Strong client relationships are Johnny’s largest motivating factor in the practice of law. He prides himself on being not only a lawyer to his clients, but a confidante, counselor, and a sounding board when necessary. Johnny thrives on going to trial and will fight until the very end to get the result the client deserves, no matter how large or small the case may be. The best compliment Johnny can get is for his clients to refer their friends, family or loved ones to him to handle their case.
Johnny graduated from Louisiana State University in 2001 with a degree in Mass Communications, and continued to Paul M. Hebbert Law Center at LSU, graduating with a J.D./B.C.L. in 2004. Johnny was active in Student Government and served as 1L Class Representative and Student Bar Association Vice President.
