The National Flood Insurance Program, administered by FEMA, on October 23, 2012 extended the deadline for filing Proof of Loss forms for claims associated with Hurricane Isaac for 30 days. See the official notice here NFIP.
This means that if you sustained flood damage from Hurricane Isaac and are not satified with what you received in payment, you now have a total of 90 days from the date of loss to file a proof of loss form. Failure to file the form will result in a loss of your rights.
We at Frischhertz, Poulliard, Frischhertz & Impastato are experienced at litigating flood insurance claims and would be pleased to meet with anyone who believes that they have not been fully and fairly compensated for their losses. Please contact us for a free initial consultation and be sure to ask about our special tiered fee schedule for hurricane victims.
